Samsung tri-fold phone’s release may come sooner than you think

There's a lot of anticipation for Samsung's tri-fold phone at its Unpacked event on July 9. The company hasn't said if it's going to unveil it there, but if it's due to be released this year, Unpacked would be the perfect place to talk about it.
A new rumor has surfaced out of China which claims that the tri-fold would be unveiled in July, so perhaps we may see it at the event in New York after all. The rumor also provides a possible release window for the device.
Samsung may not wait until the very end of the year to launch it
Fans are most interested in learning more about the tri-fold. Yes, the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be there, but they're not really “new.” They're just evolutions of a form factor that Samsung has almost perfected.
The tri-fold is what's going to get people talking again about Samsung's ability to push the envelope, just like the Galaxy S25 Edge did earlier this year. Word's spreading around on China's Weibo that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will be released in August, suggesting a lengthy pre-order period for the devices.
It also claims that while the tri-fold will also be unveiled in July, it's going to be released later this year in October. Perhaps Samsung may want to capitalize on the year-end holiday season to get a sales boost. Either way, there's no official confirmation for any of this right now, so best to take it with a grain of salt.
