Unlocked Galaxy A15 5G finally gets One UI 7 update in the USA

Samsung's One UI 7 rollout is still not complete, and the company is in the process of rolling out the stable update for some entry-level and mid-range phones in some countries. It has now released the One UI 7.0 update for more units of the Galaxy A15 5G in the USA.

The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update is now available for the Galaxy A15 5G in the USA. The update comes with firmware version A156U1UEU6CYE9 and has a download size of over 3GB. The new software also includes the May 2025 security patch to make the phone more secure.

If you have a Galaxy A15 5G and live in the USA, you can check for the new update and install it by heading over to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Then, once the update is completely downloaded, tap the Install now button. The phone will finish the installation process and restart a few minutes later.

The update arrived in India four weeks ago, and it expanded to Africa and Latin America one week later. One UI 7.0 was released to the carrier-locked units of the phone in the USA two weeks ago.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A15 5G in December 2023 with Android 14 onboard. Android 15 (One UI 7.0) is the first big software update that has arrived on the phone. It will get three more Android OS updates in the future, and Android 16-based One UI 8.0 will be the next big update for the phone. It will arrive before the end of this year.
