The Xiaomi Pad 7s Pro Runs on the XRING 01 Chip

Not too long ago, Xiaomi revealed that it’s developed its own in-house smartphone chip, which the company dubbed the XRING 01. While we haven’t heard much news about it since its original debut, the chip’s once again making headlines as it launches within the new Xiaomi Pad 7s Pro, announced alongside several other Xiaomi products.
Priced at 3,299 RMB (around $460), the Xiaomi Pad 7s Pro is fitted with some pretty good hardware specs. There’s a 12.5-inch IPS LCD display up front, with a 2136 x 3200 pixel resolution and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. We reckon this should be enough for most use cases including content streaming, productivity and a bit of gaming every now and then.

In addition to the XRING 01, you’re also getting 256GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM, and this maxes out at 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM. Powering the tablet is a beefy 10610 mAh battery, which also supports 120W charging speeds—suffice to say, you’re pretty much guaranteed all-day use with this device.
Other details include a 50MP main camera with 4K video recording support, a 32MP front camera, six speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and HyperOS 2 on top of Android 15. Buyers can also opt for a variant which uses matte glass instead of the usual glossy finish.
