Android 14 is coming back to Chromecast after a rocky start
It's been months since Google officially discontinued Chromecast with Google TV and replaced it with the newer (and more expensive) Google TV Streamer. But the company hasn't forgotten about one of the most iconic streaming devices in recent years. Back in March 2025, Google began rolling out the Android 14 update for Chromecast with Google TV.
